About Atsuko Nishida
Nishida illustrated the 1998 Pikachu Illustrator promo, the rarest and most valuable Pokémon card ever printed, one copy of which sold for $195,000 in 2019. A Game Freak and Creatures Inc. artist, she has drawn Pokémon TCG cards since the Team Rocket era, roughly 448 in a soft airbrushed style. Her larger legacy is as a character designer: she shaped Pikachu itself, Raichu, most of the Eeveelutions, and many Generation I Pokémon, with non-Pokémon credits including the Mega Drive game Pulseman and the 3DS title Hometown Story.
Their most valuable card is Gardevoir & Sylveon GX (#205/214, Unbroken Bonds), estimated at $560–$720. Cards are ordered by estimated market value.
