About Gemi
Gemi is a Japanese illustrator, born in 1989 in Sanda, Hyogo, whose first Pokémon Trading Card Game card was Glaceon VSTAR in Crown Zenith in 2023. A graduate of Kyoto University of Art and Design's Japanese-painting course, Gemi turned to illustration after the band mol-74 commissioned a CD jacket, and now works from Tokyo in a nostalgic, atmospheric style. Beyond Pokémon they have published art books, including titles in the Otome no Honbako series, and drawn many novel covers and corporate pieces for clients such as Itoen and Kintetsu.
