About Hitoshi Ariga
Hitoshi Ariga is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator best known outside Pokémon for his long-running Rockman (Mega Man) manga and design work in the Japanese game industry. Ken Sugimori invited him to design Pokémon for X and Y, and he has since created species including the Honedge and Aegislash line, Malamar, and several fossil Pokémon, plus character-design lead work on Pokémon UNITE. He began illustrating Pokémon TCG cards in 2011 and has produced roughly 142 of them.
