Jiro Sasumo won the Grand Prix outright at the second Pokémon Card Game Illustration Grand Prix with a Charizard drawn from a low, ground-level angle to make it feel huge and sturdy, and that winning piece became their debut promo card. Sasumo describes themselves as an art-school-trained office worker who illustrates part-time, working in Photoshop with a pen tablet. Around 36 cards later, they appear in the official AR/SAR interview series discussing their Leafeon VSTAR.
