About Miki Tanaka

Miki Tanaka is one of the Pokémon TCG's earliest illustrators, debuting with the Slowpoke of the Fossil expansion and painting hundreds of cards since. She works entirely by hand, using gouache on A4 watercolor paper with no digital tools, a flat yet warm style that saw her art chosen for a 2025 UNIQLO collection. Born in Tokyo, she studied English at university and got her start painting custom fans and bamboo hats at a traditional dance-prop shop in Asakusa, later illustrating for magazines, books and advertisements.

Their most valuable card is Slowpoke & Psyduck GX (#218/236, Unified Minds), estimated at $290–$380. Cards are ordered by estimated market value.
