About Taira Akitsu

Taira Akitsu is an Osaka-based illustrator, known online as sasimin, who has contributed steadily to the Pokémon TCG since debuting with Vulpix in the Sword & Shield base set. The best-known work is the Garchomp V alternate art from Astral Radiance, and other credits include Psyduck and Golduck in the 151 expansion and a Manaphy illustration rare in VSTAR Universe. Across the Scarlet & Violet era the artist has also drawn several trainer cards. Little is publicly documented about work outside Pokémon.
