About Tomokazu Komiya
Tomokazu Komiya is one of the Pokémon TCG's longest-serving artists, debuting on the 1997 Japanese Expansion Sheet 1 (English debut in Neo Genesis) and illustrating over 250 cards in a distinctive Primitivism-influenced style of deformed proportions and vivid, loosely applied color. Born in 1973, he draws on prehistoric, tribal, and children's art traditions. Beyond the TCG he illustrated several Pokémon Tales picture books (1997-2007) and contributed Sunflora and Smeargle pieces to the 2023 Pokémon x Van Gogh collaboration.
Their most valuable card is Pidgeot (#23/165, Expedition Base Set), estimated at $135–$180. Cards are ordered by estimated market value.
